Of course not. That number was placed by the owner at the end of the auction.

I bought a 21 Hustler when they first came out in 85 at the NY boat show. Said I wanted to put the new Evinrude V8. They said it will handle it no problem. Boat had a Gil Bracket with a notched transom. I bought the engine local and rigging. Boat would not plane off at all. Sold V8 and bought V6 . Still had problems planing . Had to sue them . They had boat for months to make it work. They agreed to put K planes on. I agreed . When I went to pick the boat up I saw they put bennet tabs on instead . Sold boat shortly after that. Live and learn.

So strange. Why couldn't you get it to plane out? Seems like anyone who owned one loved it. It's a really common hull design. Wasn't aware they notched the transom on the Hustler version.

Maybe notched the first ones and realized the problem.

Nice looking boat but with that notched transom and engine hanging way back there was the problem

That is a lot of setback, but lots of boats have a notch and setback with no problem. Can't see it being the issue. That's too bad you never set it up right. Cool boat.

Is it just me, or does a boat with no cover(s) or even provisions for covers, left outside on a lift, concern a prospective buyer?
