    bridgeport experts?

i'm stumped with this one.. has what looks to be a TPS mounted on top of horn where most I've owned and/or seen have a blank plate.. know its a TPS cause it has tan, orange and blue wires??? ecu is very early 11350a?.. it doesn't show on any parts list I've seen?.. doesn't show on first 260 (vertical butterfly) either?.. even looks factory safety wired bolts.

also check out whats goin' on with tha CLE!!! has a tube? something metal inside holding tha cut piece on! point will not come off??? jus wiggles around?.. complete motor top ta bottom ('87) with everything lookin' like its been unmolested from tha get go.....

Looks like someone added some point to make it longer up front. Or maybe to get better water flow they cut the front and ported the inlet area..... time will tell as ya play with it.

not added.. plain 'ole CLE that's been "cut".. jus and flops on something inside that's still attached to rest of gear case.. will "twist 'bout 10* in either direction and forward at tha top of tha cut (see gap at top in one picture).. look at tha one picture of tha bottom and you'll see a small hole ahead of tha inlets.. couldn't tell if its threaded but next time its here gonna run a 10/32 tap in and add a set screw ta see if tha "point" will stay in place..

jus when ya think ya justa 'bout seen it all...

Ran several early cle's and had to epoxy tip back in place. Some early vertical shaft efi's had a analog tps. Maybe what you have.

might have had one way back then.. jus never ran/kept it long enough for it to come loose..

all tha analog stuff i've seen/had (first in '87, first cle also) were tha vacuum type (even tha superseded tps's.) , usually mounted on tha port side... all tha way to tha vertical shaft 2.5 260's and first horizontal 260's.. one other thing about it, no adjusting it, straight mounting holes.. its probably jus something merc threw out there for whatever reason...

Have you checked up in that little hole is not a grub screw holding some sort small bolt head / small shaft that is connected to the cone part. ?
just a thought.. next thing would be x-ray.. if you know someone in the Air freight game they could x-ray it for you..

hole seemed ta be empty?.. didn't take a lotta time lookin/pokin' around in it though.. tha metal piece that it wobbles around on looked ta be part of tha main body of tha gearcase?.. can't find a blow up and/or parts list anywhere where its shown??? he was gonna check to see if it was threaded and use a allen or hex head set screw of sorts?.. haven't heard back.. knowin' him, he may jus weld if up...….
