My first 2.4 , need advice

Fuller here in TX?.. if so, he should know better.. Merc has never built a PRODUCTION 2.0/2.4 7 petal front with an operational oiler hole.. tha absolute only 7 petal production with operational oiler was tha '91 carb/efi 2.5..

tha 225 pro max is tha only other 7 petal front small block motor with functioning oiler..

hi perf. carb BP's, oval ports 5 and 7 petal, 2.5 245 all have a boss for tha pump but were not drilled..

Ok update I stand corrected and as you all said its 5 pedal ! I was looking thru carb and didn't realize they are offset .

That said the orig comp test was done on this 2.4 that hasn't started in 10 years . Last sat It fired right up and ran it for 30 seconds . Today I took another reading and its 105-110 . I still stand beside the jetting 1&6 had 82 2,3,4,5 had 80

I want this engine to be the best it can be so what's next ?

I know a little 'bout tha Laser too... my favorite (had several) that I had many, many years ago! "laser efi" injected BP with dual "opposed" cable steering....

Fuller marine in NJ. Has Teleflex tiller hyd steering . What can I expect this 20 ft to run with this engine ? what is bare hull weight on my boat ?

have no clue with that one?.. 420 Ray?.. that's a rare bird I think... gotta say I've never been around one that's rigged and runnin'.. think its pretty heavy!.. like 13 ta 1400 lbs?

also found 2124 behind throttle arm stamped in block .
Im not a fan of the looks of this 420 laser but it is growing on me . I also own 20ft vegas XT , 15ft designed bill critchfield , 16 donzi outboard and 24 skater copy

no idea 'bout that number?.. build date should be like xx xx xx.. but they didn't always get tha stamping process order right.. sometimes it might be x xx x xx or xxx xxx or xxxxxx!.. also sometimes they didn't put a "0" in front of a single digit number.

agree 'bout tha looks.. didn't that one have a windshield of sorts on it?.. might help with tha look?

Has a ski style lift surface when up on it they eat pretty good. Just have to keep the wife from decorating the heck out of the cuddy and loading it full.

This is has been a good history romp.

I think 60-70 probably closer to 60. They cruse sweet though

Someone plz correct me if I'm wrong but the 82s should b n 2 and 5. the hot cyl on a 2.4 200. .maybe its 1 and 6 on 175 but I doubt it , still a 2.4

Sorry should have said stock set up. Might have boat pics mixed up.

175 had 60-62 merc 2.5

i could see 80 on the boat I was thinking. Once set up correctly.

Hes runnin 46s with 80s and 82s with 82s in 1 and 6?
