Need suggestions on how to re-route power trim hoses

My boat has a Bob's jack plate along with a 2.5 with offshore clamp and Seastar tournament steering. Problem is, there's no good way to route the stock power trim hard lines so that the engine can still trimmed and the lines don't collide with the steering ram when trimmed up. And then if I want to lower the jack plate the hoses will hit the transom and make it worse. Anyone ever cut the hard lines to shorten them? Or maybe come out from the side with flexible hose? Looking for ideas or pictures of how others handle it.

What kind of flare do these lines use?

Looks like someone straightened them a bit. Bend them to either point downward or off to either side. Be very careful bending as they kink really easily. Also if I remember correctly you can change the length by using brake line form the auto parts store.
