Hydrostream HST Setup Help
Hey All,
I have a Hydrostream HST with a 3.0L 225 Efi, with CLE. Currently have a 10" setback on the boat.
What props and ride heights do you recommend , Anyone have an HST with similar setups? Looking for All around performance, with emphasis on top end.
Ive heard 28 Lightening ET is the way to go, but wonder what else you suggest.
Thanks

Orillia? We are a mile south of Casino Rama on Cooch. We should meet in the spring/summmer. I have an Allison SS2000/200XS and the family has a J craft for skiing
By reputation the HST needs lift in a prop, setback, and the engine pretty high. But I've never had one. What props do you have now?
you should find Al Ray. He has an HST for a long time. Al lives in Orillia. He posts on Fastboats Canada sometimes. His son Dave aka Motoboat posts here.Last edited by David; 04-29-2019 at 08:03 PM.

We ran 28 x 14.5 Hoss Triton gave around 114 mph with a 2.4 MOD VP but best prop we ever had surprisingly was a Mike Spinelli cleaver, that thing was awesome and I was convinced it was too big because we ran fairly short courses but Mike convinced me and we took pole and won first time we tried it, used it for years till we loaned it out and it threw a blade or that's what we were told, never did see it back.

Might contact dompie on here. He runs the same motor. Think his does 95mph or so and with a hoss prop. Mine does 96 with a 200 merc.
A hydraulic jackplate is real nice to have... At slower speeds you run it low so it carries the hull. At higher speed you start jacking it up.
Weight is everything on the hst..
Show us a picture of your hst.
