    WTB: 22 Talon

Any nice 22 Talon's out there? With or without power!

I've been without a boat for quite a few years, Seriously looking get back to doing what I love!
Also looking for a STV Euro, to be honest I would be happy with either boat.

A single outboard hull, an older well kept hull in order to try and keep the cost down, a twin would be nice but once again trying to keep the cost inline.

    Thank you!

    WTB: 22 Talon

The 22 Talon is a great boat and I considered buying one a few years ago but I found my second Cougar 22MTR. The Cougar has a much larger cockpit without the centre console, so it is much easier to get in and out of the front seats. Easy access to the huge storage under the dash, bow and hatch as well. Top speeds are very similar to the Talon with the same power. My 2003 ran 92mph on GPS with a 300X turning a worked Mazco RE4 30" prop with about 300lbs of stereo gear under the bow. I haven't run my current one with twin 300Xs hard yet, but I suspect it will be 110mph plus. Here is he link to a thread that I started with lots of photos of the different Cougar models:

They are rare like the 22Talon. Good luck in your search.

Gary, I do agree that Cougar boats are very good boats and that the 22's are quite rare!
I would consider the cougar if one presented itself!
I have seen your old Blue cougar in pictures for years!

    Thanks Stoney

The fellow that bought my 2004 22MTR had it for sale a year or so ago but I don't know if he sold it or not. I attached a couple of photos of it. I will contact him to see if it is still for sale and let you know.
    Thanks
    Gary
