Need Mercury / Mariner Cover Modifications Ideas and Resources
Guys, I'm about to start on my 2.0L V6 project. As part of this build, I want to modify the 1989 SeaRay engine cover you see below.
This is the same 1-piece as the Mercury/Mariner styles shown. I'd like to install scoops to the sides and give it the look of the old BP's and Drags. I've seen a thread on here where a member did this, but I can't find it. Are there any resources for air scoops other than those louvers that Bob's sells in stainless? I really prefer to glass and blend horizontal scoops to the sides.
I'd really appreciate your photos and ideas -Post them - Custom paint and all....

The Magnum models have louvers that are functional. Why not just switch cowlings?
