    New member, need tips/advice

    Hello boating friends,

Paired up with my future FIL (father in law), we have just purchased a boat. Think it's a 77 speedliner tunnel hull. Came with a Johnson GT 150. Rebuilding bottom end on motor currently. Any one have any info on these ?

They were designed by boat racer Bill Wiles, built by SeaJay boats in St Joseph Mo. Only doing boat repairs now. I bought a 1978 model new back in the day and a 1993 model about 6 years ago. Recomend a hydraulic backplate and over hub exhaust cleaver prop, around 26 pitch with a 150 would be my guess. I run 28 and 30 pitch with a 225 OMC. Fun boats. grizzone47@hotmail.com
