    1980allison 20 ss w 175hp or 1980 allison 20 gt

    Well boat,s not finding a new home and boston whaler is near done...
    I,ve been looking @ pic,s of my allison and thinking it would be nice to have a custom gt, and new one,s any person can buy, so should it get the saw ???? A new 1980 GT 20 ss Any ideas I,m thinking center steer , bench in back, with built in cowl around engine hood, old school with update ??Click image for larger version.

    Don’t ruin it with any changes. I have a 1979 GT-20 that I just got back from Jack Barsh. I told him to restore it exactly like it looked when it came out of the showroom in 1979. Same color, same configuration, same lines, etc. It looks unbelievably beautiful. Clean, crisp, uncomplicated. If you’re going to “fix it”, do it right and keep it as it was meant to be. By the way, mine is the exact same color as yours (gray and ivory) with the tangerine accent pin stripe.

    I had 2 20ss back in the early 80s.great boats.
    Anyway found a v21 a couple of years ago and restored it to original.
    I'm glad I did it. I've had lots of fun with it and it brings back memories from the Allison days

    Have Allison XB-2002 1987 with 2.4L Bridgport Merc Racing engine need to know WHERE I CAN FIND A RELIABLE MANUAL AND A PERSON TO TELL ME WHAT THE HELL I HAVE . Been trying to find anyone to help me .
