The cadets just stopped using 303's the year before us so we felt lucky.

Damn, ya young bucks missed all the free fun a kid! Besides my always on you 16, I was the rear gun truck spare gunner/wrench mechanic convoys. Our truck..(well mine as it was my baby, as I did all the maintence). Had all the toys, M79's. twin 60's, 50 on a turret. After a run, had to clean all weapons, do whatever the truck, reload what needed and out again.

RPG came close, but missed! And all that armor REALLY had the old truck a "lumbering beast"!
