Question 99 Merc 200 EFI electrical question.

Recently swapped powerhead. Reinstalled electrical and fuel systems. There is a light blue wire coming from the Water Sensor Module and I failed to label it when removing it from the original powerhead. Can someone tell me where it connects? It has a male connector on the end of it.

I think that wire might go to the warning module that deals with the oil injection. I'll try to check when i get to shop.

Thanks rock... I found a link online to a tech guide. It gave the breakdown for the wires coming from the back of the unit. It stated that the light blue wire connects to the Lube Alert, which sounds the warning horn when activated... The problem is... I don't know what the Lube alert is or where it is...

I think I found my answer... Took some searching and scrolling.. Light Blue wire from Water Sensing Module connects to Blue wire on Warning Module on top of motor.

If the oiling system has been deleted you may not find that box.

I left the box on just in case I decided to use the oil injection later.

Since the oil injection is not connected, do I need to keep this wire hooked up? Could it give a false alarm if it is connected without the oil injection is removed?

I am getting a series of fast beeps when I turn my key, after the normal beep sequence. It continues when I start the motor. I have disconnected and removed the warning module. Any ideas? It’s driving me nuts. And the motor is about to be listed for sale or trade.

It took me going back over it again to figure it out. Based on a parts and wiring diagram I had printed off, I got the Det Control and Warning Module confused. For whatever reason, I thought the Warning Module was the top box and the Det Control was the bottom one, due to how they were mounted.
Ran it on the water hose and it was great. May get to put it in the lake later.
