Capt, you sound a little sarcastic... I had someone carve on a bridgeport block once, he ruined it. Lesson learned. (Not mag)

It’s a 2.5 steel bore block. And no I didn’t send a deposit I offered and he told me to wait, but I just talked to a guy that lives close by and he is going to check on things for me.

Good to see you've backed away from the ledge a few steps.
Aaron stated he sent no money .. so realistically he's out nothing but time on a non-usable block.
According to you, every single one of them can be fixed in 30 days. I could send you a few if you'd like. You know, floors knocked out of # 5 and # 6. Crank sealing ring mostly missing down around to the front half where the injector boss should be .. I'll send ya a couple sleeves for each one also. Be careful with them they cost $450.00 each. (At time's they are also 10 weeks out being spun-up, plated and rough honed) I'll ship em Monday you'll have em Tuesday 4/8/19 .. I'm sure your busy, but I'd really like to hear from you at least three times a week. Your not an attorney so you can't bill me for the 45 minutes to an hour I waste on each call.. BTW .. I'm callin the cops on the 9th of May if they are not on my front porch in better than new condition.
While I agree, communication is the best policy. It's not done yet is not what people like to hear. Nor is I don't know when it will be ... Which makes you sound stupid.
Ron if your listening .. it's much better to say , sir your number 178 on the list.
What number are you on .. 42 Yes sir, you have a nice day as well !

Chaz, you know about the machining business much more than I ever will. In this field I am stupid. But, you and I both know that getting the jobs out the door is the key to any successful business. Like said, i'm sure mag is a reg guy but just swamped with work, or has other problems. This is not the 1st thread about this communication situation. I don't hear any complaints about you, or your work. On the contrary, I and many others think you are a wizard.... But to a stupid fiberglasser like me, a year seems way too long to make repairs on a 450 dollar block. To make money at this venture, I would think that you would have to do at least a block a day. So mag must have 365 blocks sitting in the shop. And Acoffeu is asking for some help. Should we ignore him? Tell him a year is normal?

I usually refrain from commenting on Threads such as this. But I will say this!!! In my Business i always tell the customer UP FRONT my current back log is _______ and is subject to change between now and when I receive your parts. I also try to make sure I can communicate with all customers via email. That way I always have a paper trail to fall back on should anyone get a sudden lapse of memory. Basically my Business blueprint is this "If I cant receive it turn it around in 30 days or less I wont accept it".
On another Note pertaining to motors. Not everyone has a back up motor on the shelf and in my case all my powerheads are for Race only. So when I send out a Block to have a,b,c,d work done I cant have it sit on a floor in a corner some where and never get touched for a year or two. In the last three years Ive had that happen to me twice. My last ordeal went to Louisiana the end of January last year with the Shop knowing Full well I needed that Block back ready for assembly by start of race season last year. ("Sure send it to me Ill take care of it for you"). I just got it back last week untouched????????????????????????????????????????? Shipping cost both ways down the toilet for NOTHING??? Now Ive had to reach out to another reputable Guy to do the work. And believe me the HOT topic was turn around.
For any Business to take in work and knowing up front full well they cant turn the product around in a reasonable time frame is inexcusable. And 1 year is inexcusable. And to not answer or return a customers calls is even worse.Bud Conner "Heathen" "Defending Our Constitution"
