    Stv river rocket engine height

Where is everyone measuring there engine height from on a stv river rocket, I have heard from bottom of pad, some say the ledge beside the pad, which is 3/4” higher. Just putting engine back on, last year I was 1 1/4 above the bottom of the pad, also no jack plate and bolted to transom,
    1996 stv river rocket. 2.5 260hp

I measure mine from my water pressure gauge... If you look down the inverted vee "from the front of the boat", you should just barely see your water pickup and that is optimal for most STVs. Set it there and watch your water pressure-its going to get you really close and is probably higher then you have been running it.

Use the small ledge beside the center pad to level the boat (the center pad runs at an angle ) but use the center pad to set engine height. I am at 1-3/8" above with mine , still have good water pressure.
