Question 1999 mariner 135 optimax dfi... Rpm studder at 3500rpm

I bought the boat in December and have been using it since but a few weeks ago i got a check engine light that flashed (i have the 4 cluster quicksilver guage) for engine issue. On the way home the motor seemed to have a little bit of a vibration at lower rpm (misfiring cylinder?) and rpm studders at about 3500rpm or so. The weird thing was once above that rpm it ran fine (5500rpm steady). The next weekend the light came on and stayed on so i decided to invest in a techmate pro scanner. After scanning there was an active fault on injector #3 (further testing showed the direct injector was causing the issue). Got all the injectors and fuel rails cleaned, inspected, and flow tested. Injector 3 (direct had a small leak that was fixed with cleaning). Everything was reinstalled in the motor with new plugs, and fuel water separator filters. This was today. After install scan showed no faults but after a test ride the fault on number 3 came back. (Is it possible for an injector to fail even if it clicks on injector test?) Here is a video of the engine to show symptoms at neutral https://drive.google.com/file/d/1j69...w?usp=drivesdk. Im sure i left out details along the way..ask away with questions... Thank you for help.

Never had a leek fixed by cleaning.

O ring and Teflon seals being replaced during cleaning can. So it’s probably wording.

Cleaning cant save all of them. Might have to replace it.

3500 is around when sensor hand off takes place. you can see if their on the low side probably not bad though. It’s also a good spot for week or stiff reeds and air injection to crossover. Normally never concerns

Nifty, if they started that again would probably go back to acting up. At high rpm it’s not enough to affect rich lean conditions.

Should have idle and such acting funny though.

found out the new plugs i put in, even though they are in the service manual, dont run right (Must use ONLY NGK: IZFR5G Spark Plugs, gapped at .032-.033" )(so i put the old plugs back in the motor and was able to get back my full rpms. motor was running almost normal (how it used to) with much less shakeyness. with that said though there was still a moment on the ride where the injector gave a code. i looked it up and ordered a used one... will update on results once i receive the new injector and install it.
    thank you for the help

A dirty injector wont through a code. Only an electrical issue with it. You need an Injector. Make sure you get the proper one for you pressures
