I agree, some of my best memories are on the ice with bikes and drag sleds. It was a lot of work to keep a track clean in front of the house until I finally had all of the right equipment (quad with plow, Rhino with plow, tractor with blower, and a tractor with spin brush attachment). We looked like a big deal when we would go to another lake and pull everything out to clear an oval. Then about that time I moved South-no regrets, we had more fun then some do in lifetime.

If I had taken it for a spin it would have been my first sport bike to ride. I'd ridden a few street bikes like the old 70's-80's KZ, CB, XS style bikes but I had and still haven't ridden a sport bike.
I probably would have taken it for a spin if we had been at his house but we were at the place all the people our age, late teens to mid 20's, hung out on the weekend and all I could think of was dropping that bike in front of everyone.Last edited by CDave; 07-17-2019 at 06:49 PM.

Light and day...........If ya AINT a "Natural" drive/ride anything, don't mess with something that can FAST get ya in a ****house of trouble ...and I mean REAL fast.
CBR1000F does over 60 (who knows, I watching the road!) redline first gear, and 5 more to go, geared highway fast fun. Linked brakes, sticky tires that embed if a dime on the road, and give a nickle back change end the ride. Then theres my old (built s+s motor, no slug) Shovel thats a TOTAL opposite the CBR! And the Bagger, when need a | gotta get the hell away from life. All good.......(over 60 years me now, but gave up the road, and back in the boats..(not so many idiots). (My home made Dragbike too pic) I can't ever remember all the bikes owned, rode, built..wish I had my Cushman Eagle. first mini bu lit dads lawn mower engine in a bike frame, first real bike 65 Super 90, and year later a basket case (Parents basement) Triumph 650 I built into this at 17 and the one I raced. Best 99.9 at 15.99 1/4 Got the trophy and the girl too! (Don't get me started on bikes!)....

Sold a Harley Vrod for this MT 07 naked Yamaha. Very Happy, won't go back to a Harley any time soon. Thought I would miss the power, not really, this little thing is quick!
Sold the Skater, missing it everyday

I absolutely love my 2013 Yamaha Stryker, 1300cc Raven edition.
Faster than most Harleys, and it was 1/3rd the price. Also looks better than a lot of the cookie cutter HD's.1) 1995 14' Bayliner Restoration <--Click

I always laugh at the harley bashers. Usually breaks down to them not being able to afford one, so they buy a clone and think they are the cats meow. Ride what you got and be happy to be on two wheels. Damn, no reason to complicate it. And then you have the guys on harleys that are all like, yeah I have stage (whatever) mods done to my bike. What does that even mean? Or the guy that tells me his bike is jetted so it is faster. First thing, your bike is fuel injected, it does not have jets just after burners. Second thing, unless your going to race for pinks, STFU.
Here is a pic of my 'girls bike'. Stage 1974 mods (frame and motor). !978 tins, 75th anniversary. And a 1972 Front end. 4 5/8 flywheels .030 over bringing it to 1240 CC or 74". Andrews X cams, Andrews C-Wfirst gears, and the pipe was designed by me and made by Iggy's exhaust. On Harlem by Montrose, 60630.
Will post picture in another entry so it can be enlarged.

Last year right foot shift too. I can drive either side, its simple to me (after the stab the brake to downshift at first!) What years the bagger? Had a 84, wet clutch, enclosed chain. Drove it all over US, sold to my nephew with 90,000 miles. Little maintenance needed.
But ya gotta up grade that plastic catch pan. Mines Stainless small dog bowl! Under the side breather, as might get some out crankcase a fire after sitting. I'll show ya the conversion right to left I did my dragbike (it was streetable, just never got a plate for it as not worth the hassle)

Right shift to left, my way! Convoluted, but works! I was going to do a air shift it, but moved from Midwest to coast, so never got done. Besides, I just like to build stuff...
Ya need my front end, stops better than the drums, which a friend had long a but he punched to out his Ironhead to 80 inch. Went like a scalded cat, didn't stop to good though!
