    You mean one of these

    Bought it new in '85

Came w/catalytic converters to pass EPA.

Soon as I got it home, those pipes went in the trash and on went chambers, which saved 30 lbs!
Cut the head, open filers, re-jetted, re-geared, bigger back tire and......learned how to ride!
It would spin the back tire through a first gear corner after, I learned to ride it!

It never lost a race, light to light.

Laying on the tank, 11K in 6th gear = 130.
    Not bad for a 350.

I remember running/beating a Suzuki GS 1100e from a roll and its owner thought it was the funniest think he'd ever seen!

That bike spoiled me for anything else.
    Light, nimble, quick etc....

Sent this story to a Britsh classic mag I subscribe to.

    (Sideways pixs!!!!!!!
Theyre correct on my lap top and still load sideways!!
    Arghhhhhhh!)

Just came back from another track day at Jenning GP with my Land Yacht, the Concours Owners Group ZG1400 club puts on a training session in February every year 15 min on track 15 min in classroom times 6, 675lb 159hp rear wheel dyno stock was 160 crank 134 wheel, shaft drive eats HP,

The thing scares me 0-2 MPH once moving light as a feather, flip it around like a small bike.

Did not buy for investment if I looked at it that way it would be the worst investment in my life,

    I've got $2500. into suspension alone...Cruise control...

I'll never sell it by far the best bike I've ever owned.

It's a redesigned ZX14 bulletproof in every way, going to sell the 400 Bergman and get an electric Zero bike for RVing.

I honestly was thinking along a similar line when I read the title to this thread. I was thinking, someone found one of those Honda 150 Ruckus they use to make. Shame Honda discontinued the 150cc version. They always looked like great pit bikes to me.

had a 1990 cbr 1000 & a 92 fzr 1000 ,the cbr was a tank for sure but very reliable & comfy on trips.the fzr was light & fast for it"s day but was a torture rack . sold both & bought my VFR & never looked back.she is sitting in the garage 21 years later , ready to ride anywhere & still in near mint condition.Keeping a lookout for a Triumph Thruxton these days to add to the collection.

Had a Cushman Super Eagle at 14!

On the Ruckus? Kid here had 2 (50's), one needed work. I worked on it and new fuel pump[ and carb. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TOUCH a ruckus. BITCH to work on, come out beat up and bloody, ME, not the bike.

My Cushman 1964, think it was a 59? Friend had a couple Turtle Backs, one with side car. Us kids would pile on and hit the Forest Preserve woods, "Going Woodzin"!

Just back from the bike shop, w/the son-in-law looking at new bikes.
Dealership is huge and has everytjing but Harley and BMW and the bike that gets me every time is the silver/gold Triumph Thruxto s.
Clearly not the fastest but light, nimble, gorgeous and looks like an absolute blast to ride.

Triumph as a whole, has a hell of a line up.
    Very impressive.

Wish I still had my 1957 Triumph, 650, single carb, got as basket case for $100 at 16. Put together parents basement, and heres what looked like (ignore the cool duds, me and GF at HS sock hop), but needed ride and a pic after. Winter, back in the basement new think. Raced it at the drag strip at 17, took 1ST in my class, modified first time out. 99.99 @ 15.99! Sold it year later as went on a senior year vacation in Nam...
