I'm really excited about it being a mid-engine car, but two things so far caught my attention:

First, if those images below are to be believed, it sure looks like its design is heavily influenced by Ferrari to me, which in itself is not a bad thing, but I would have hoped (so far) for a more unique look.

Second, it's been reported that the price will be... get ready... $170,000. This is something I cannot possibly believe. Maybe for some limited edition supercar version like a new ZR-1, but pricing the Corvette at over $100K would, in my opinion, drive it (pun intended) right out of its market demographic. I just can't believe that the base model Corvette would be that expensive.

There is reportedly a twin-turbo model, which would likely be the most expensive option, but still, that price seems out of line. Twin turbos is not the exotic configuration that it used to be 20 years ago.
