87 200 blackmax vacuum line replacement

I am replacing all of the lines under the cowl and was curious if the length of the vacuum lines matter? Also was in the process of deleting oil injection and seems as though I have the wrong kit, can someone varify?Click image for larger version.

Length shouldn't matter much. Not nearly as much as cracked leakers thats for sure. I can see some logic in having them all the same length but first Ive heard of it plus im curious about what your doing for oil inj delete so i'll see what others have to say there. I have a motor now that has a hose and bolt clamped over the port and thats it so I dont think it needs much.

The lines are not all the same length as of now, but I wanted to clean everything up and shorten the lines. As far as deleting the oil injection I bought a kit 43453Click image for larger version.

Only matters on supper sensitive vacuum lines. Can also affect short pulse signal.

Shouldnt ever have much much to do with outboards as it takes several feet.

Length of hose bleed lines does not matter. Block off only fits in one direction. Also seen some that did not want to fit with oring so I make a small gasket.

Put zip ties on the ends of the hoses, try 180 on the block off has a cut out that must go towards the crank gear. Make sure there is an o-ring to seal the top, don't see it in the pic.

Is it very critical to get the lines to the "correct" cylinder? I put 1-3, 3-5, 5-1 cylinder to intake. Same on other side just even #'s.

Crack open the shop manual, there are diagrams for proper bleed line routing.

+1 on the zip ties or small pinch clamps for the bleed line connections.
