Make sure all the reed cages are tight. Are you sure you have the wires from pack to coils correct, seen 2 and 4 reversed many times. You need to verify fuel pressure, spark on all 6 and that all 6 better flies are fully opening.

No telling how long it was sitting. The story I got was it belonged to the guy's father and he was too old to use it again so he was getting rid of it. It was on a pallet wrapped in plastic so it had that going for it. That was in 2009 and I have ran it a lot since then.
This was the day I got it.
Here is what it looks like now

You can't see it very well in the pic, but it is the OEM style inline filter. It was replaced with a new one in the last 3 months. Any reason to suspect it?

Looks good!
So you got it in 2009 w 25"..ran it, did it get to 5500+ rpm back then or no?
You said you got to 5500 before but didn't again ?
What size prop are you running?(if it got to 5500 before it's not the prop..just curious what size)
Your running the stock fuel pump etc?
X2 on the filter only need one filter.LETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

Great info guys, I really appreciate the help. I want to change all the small hoses inside the airbox going to the carbs. There are 2 sizes under there. I'm seeing them all listed as individual part numbers, but it seems like it would be easier to get to 2 rolls of each and cut them myself. What is a good source for quality fuel hoses?

Thank you sir.
Yes it did run 5500 originally, back when I first installed it. Performance gradually declined. I really can't remember when I just know the top end speed got slower up until I swapped the midsections in October 2018.
Right after I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, February 2019, it ran 5500 at 45mph. And then once I slowed down to idle through a no wake zone, it would not get up there again on the next take off.
Propeller is a 14 1/2 x 19 OMC stainless
Fuel pump is stock with the oil tank plugged and disconnected. Running 50:1 premix.

Which that description I almost want to say choke bound up or primer lever or cold hot stop lever
Sounds like good rpm when it ran so no unknown gear change happened in the swap, time might not be optimal but sounds good(unless it was timed with fast start on, advanced timing cold then when warm retards) and if youyturning 5500 when it ran lean rich issues are probably not to far out.
Something could have broke Though. Tough one.
Where power valve/ accelerator pumps replaced in the clean if it has them?
Sorry to throw all this at you

Primer lever has remained in the down position since I have owned it. When I'm running, if I push the key in the motor bogs down, which I assume is flooding it?
I have not touched the timing since I had a shop replace the timer base in 2012.
Gearcase is all original, apart from new seals, bearings, and of course 20" driveshaft and shift rod.
I'm not familiar with power valve/ accelerator pumps. Can't say if I have them or not.

Fuel consumption seems to be the same as always. Guzzles it.
After the midsection swap, the motor ran at 4000 rpms until I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs. It then ran 5500 briefly, then back to 4000. This occurred between October 2018 and February 2019. Had it out last weekend after replacing the stator and fresh plugs and it was still the same.
I'm going to go back through the carbs and replace the fuel lines and see what happens.
Will this fuel pressure gauge work or do I need something outboard / 2 stroke specific?
