    Force 175, is it a Merc?

    I found a broke motor for parts that looks just like a Merc V6 but its a Force. Are they basically Merc/Mariners or a different animal? If Force V6 is the same as Merc what year did this begin?

    [QUOTE=vnemous;3119110]Force 150 1989 to 1994 no 175[/QUOTE

    I thought the 150 were earlier and the last ones were 120? We had one that ran and ran we would break ice and run it all day long to catch stripers on a bayliner great rig just kept going and going.

    120 1990 to 1999. I can only tell you what Mother Mercury is telling me

    the 125 was pre 120 as if that makes sense.

    The F5 was 89-94 , 124ci small bore 89-90, 128ci big bore 91-94.
    The four cyl went to 99.
    I thought for a second it could have been one of the missing prototypes Chrysler v6 maybe painted FORCE.

    I got a little shaky for a minute, tunnel vision, ears throbbing, I'm okay now.
    Thought it was the horizontal front.
