    Water pressure gauge

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction with fitting a water pressure gauge, will the pipe/sender screw into the block using the bolt in this picture?

Also, I have a two piece exhaust plate (I think) on the port side is an elbow and hose. What should this be connected to?

    Any help much appreciated. Chris

I was thinking that. Currently doesn't have a tell tale just water discharge from the port thermostat? Should I pipe this to exhaust plate with a tee for tell tale?

The gauge arrived with an 1/8th npt male adapter for the block. The bolt that's in looks larger. Does anyone know what thread they are?

The cooling system is now plumbed in with all new rubber hoses. I went to remove the thermostats however the bolts feel tight. olne on each side as it happens feels reluctant to undo.
I didn't try hard, it's a very old engine... don't really want the trouble of extracting snapped bolts etc

do i run it as is? When started water flows from stats straight away...
