As much as I would love another 24LD, it looks like this one doesn't have the cut out to get into the cabin, so that would be a partial deal breaker with the wife. And in all reality, I'm pretty good with what we ended up with (Sunsation 288). Maybe once I'm rich I can have my own play toy (like this Progression) and the bigger more comfy boat to overnight on and hang out on with momma.

Agree with RBT on that. Mr. Weigl knows how to run in big water and the boats can be tailored to the conditions they will be used in.

I may be missing something with the weight conversation. At least on the 21 SOB the weight difference between the Progression 22 and the Tuff 21 is very negligible. The Progression hull weighed in at 948lbs and the Tuff 21 hull weighed 890lbs.

Think that Tuff is in Florida now.

I just got back from looking at the boat, first off BIG boat I truly don't think I want a boat that big, Im still in the small sketchy boat stage I guess. Boat was dirty that's for sure but I could look past all that. It had a 502 with a whipple with 200hrs. Motor work all done by Performance Marine which is a plus. Some things I didn't like were it had hydraulic add on steering, and a very sloppy steering cable, the keel was shot and some rotten interior wood. Overall the boat needed some TLC but not to bad also the Gel was in very good shape, just needed a buff and wax. Id rather not discuss price at the moment.
Im still on the huntLast edited by marks86; 03-14-2019 at 05:07 PM.
