How did you pick up 6 mph in NYC waters?

Yup, the only time we go down further is for the Hudson River fun run, but we drive and launch way down

Im trying to find a 21'-24' SOB or small cat that will run 100mph and still be able to run in some snotty water like the progression did. I cant afford a new boat or I would just have one built. Below ill name a few boats that come to mind any tips would be great.

Pretty much any intimidator- The red one comes to mind, they just seem alittle to light to be able to run in rough water
The baby blue progression- was a fast boat until it got its bad rep
Kevlar 22 progression- I know of one last I hurd it went to Bermuda
20' tuff- there was one that went 110 or something but that was with a **** ton of setback IDK how that would run even if I could find it.
    24 Tuff- cant afford
21 skater- saw one that was the last one made and its build light and strong. Problem is I don't want to spend 35k on a 25 year old boat. Love 21 skaters & knockoffs

Any other oddball/rare/special or just plain badass boats out there?
Of all the boats above (all of which are great hulls) none are really oddball or uniquely special ...... except the Tuff 24.

I'm not sure how many 24 OB's Mark has built so far but I can't imagine it is more than a handful and those V's are easily running above 100 mph.

So it's settled. The Tuff 24 meets all your criteria, now you just need to save up or hit loto if your budget is $30k ish!

there are no special lightweight Progressions...Kevin will tell you he builds every boat the same for the most part as he will not sacrifice strength and longevity for a few lbs saved...The newer boats i think around mid 90s on or something like that are fully bagged and lighter than the earlier boats But i have seen older 22s go just as fast as newer ones....as for the baby blue one it went 102-104 on one or 2 occasions with ALOT of changes made after it left the factory, changes that rendered that boat UN WARRANTYABLE according to kevin and we all know what happened with that boat and a VERY experienced driver...those boats with 300s be it 300pro max 300x 300xs are all going to be 92 to 94mph boats thats it....IF you think going 5mph faster in the same boat is going to scratch an itch for more speed your outta your mind...Thats just an EGO stroke so you can say MY BOAT GOES 100 when your bragging at the ramp because you will get ZERO seat of the pants feel from a few MPH in that style of boat at that speed...adding more setback may gain you a couple MPH BUT the boat isnt going to like it...Too much setback makes them porpoise and cruise speeds, too flighty to run hard at higher speeds and kills there rough water ability...Do you honestly think if there was 5 to 7 mph to be had in a 22 progression Kevin and or his faithful followers wouldnt have found that magic setup and make it standard fare on any 22 that comes out of the factory? The boats are set up to run consistently and properly in real waters which kevin has tested over and over again to feel there going to perform good...If you boat in a puddle in the middle of no where with no boat wakes thats always flat yeah maybe a couple mph can be had but the boats gonna want to peel off the water the second a ripple comes along....

as for a tuff21 In my opinion that boat aint **** compared to a 22 progression...There build process and fit and finish is stellar and the boat is beautiful BUT the bottom design IS NOT the same as a 21 linder bottom or a 22 progression, activator ETC and doesnt work as well unless your boating in a PUDDLE with no changing water conditions...the one that was here on long island was owned and rigged/setup by the fastest guys around and never did anything impressive because it simply couldnt handle the waters the way the 21-22 standard pad bottomed boats can...

If you think a 21 skater isnt ODD then your looking for a real unicorn...there are only a handful of 21 skaters around and they are FAST, handle some big water with ease, safe and a timelessly good looking boat...My.02

    Ghost thanks for the input.

Have you ever had a speed in your head that you want to hit, when I ran 89 I immediately wanted that extra 1mph and once I got it, it felt great. I could give two****s about how fast other people think my boat goes. Well except the guy with the slower boat that’s talking ****. What’s the point of going fast if your not trying to always chase that extra MPH. Maybe your right that 92 vs 100 wont feel any different but I can assure you that I’m going to find out.

If the baby blue boat ran 102-104 once im pretty sure it ran high 90s most of the time. Also what are the UN warrenteeable modifications that were made to the boat? I looked at the boat and all I noticed was the transum cut down which Kevin has done in the past. O and no floor in the bow which I can understand may effect the strength.

Also do you think that adding a 12” jack vs 10” would effect the ride, or even the speed for that matter.
