Gel coat removal question here
I've been told that air craft stripper will make removing the gel coat off my boat but will it break down the resin and fiberglass strength thanks in advance

no expert here but I would think that since gelcoat IS just resin with pigment added, anything that would attack the gelcoat would also attack the resin underneath.

If it is strong enough, it will sure mess up the resin. The gel is a polyester and so is the resin.
Why do you want to remove it? Media blasting may be the answer?
