    Tower of Power carb selection

I am building a early 70s 115 from scratch and wondering if I can use the kd1 carbs from my 1250 and just change jets if needed? If not which model carbs should I use? The 115 used several models over the years but I have no idea what the difference is or if you can't use certain carbs on certain years?

Should be no problem, may need to rejet as you said , no drag back feature to worry about .

How about those tc adapters and use three TCs?

You could find 3 mid - late 90s tc carbs from a FORCE. They have idle screws, have low -mid range air jets for better tuning, screw in mains, 42mm venturi, 45mm bores. They use a primer squirter , no choke plates. You'll need to switch the throttle linkage starboard to port on the carbs.

I think the mounting flang on the TC carbs are horizontal and the flang studs on the inlne manifold are diagonal . THE adapters are $100 plus 3 carbs change the linkage . i don't think you'll gain any performance probably over carbed with the 1250s . The linkage on the inlines runs vertically down through all three carbs VS a horizontal throttle shaft on the TC carbs , You would need to duplicate the linkage thats on a T2 . Only positive is the primer ,witch can be added fairly easy , if you find a set of the drag back carbs you can plum into the venturi fitting for your primer simple and clean .

That's what the adapters in the above link are for. Plus a little shaping to fit profile.

Heard years ago it worked well, probably still applies today?

Later inline carbs had a leaner mid range with bleeds?
