She can shoot you and then sell it...

so my advice would be buy it and take it out for a spin before you bring it home and show the wife, that way you can say you drove it.

Or she could divorce you and keep it.

I say buy the boat. If they leave because of that, you don't want to be held back by them for the rest of your life anyway. I was told that "if you buy that, I am leaving" more then once. If you follow the fear path of that threat, you will never get to experience your own life. I watch it happen to so many guys that were raised by a mothers with an "A type" personality.

They are great until they turn against you. Then they are given all kinds of advice by their (bimbo) friends that are suddenly divorce professionals (and some are). Then she becomes "friends" with her attorney that you will pay half of the bill for.....etc. etc. etc.

I have been down this road once and will never travel it again. However, I am the one that wanted out so it was to be expected. I will never forget telling my mom that I was going to ask for a divorce and her response "its gonna be expensive"--mom knows best because it was.

All BS aside, if you have kids, DON'T GET DIVORCED. It is not fair to them and you can always work it out.

    Joe
