[QUOTE=FUJIMO;3152790] HA! Damn, does ANYTHING GET BY YOU? Your the mad scientist of "remember"...or "ya missed it", or ?!
But got a question you as you post pix like a mad man on race gas and Nitro mix, but your post count stays the same? Post Meter S+F only go to 18,246? Rock on, great "remembers me"..thanks the effort!!

I got one ferya, few even know about. But my dad bought this as had to have it as "cute". It was my first boat and never forget me in it life vest one, dad yanks the motor over and says "stay near the shoreline"
DAMN! 10 Feet off the dock and WOW, this is wild! Still get the same feeling today, 65 years later (at 4 then). Later its life I took out the inboard, sealed it (L/U was a simple JRude gearcase, no FGS, direct fire and "dock buster"!), slammed 100 nails from dad stash in the transom and stuffed a 10 HP rude on it ( can we say I learned prop height, and over powered?) and all it did was porpoise! Not even that, more like a hopping. Old pic I have, and pix one restored out here for what it was!
And it was HUGE! HA!

And a "explanation" the Amphicar dad had. Remember way to well, dad was at the lake and wanted mom to drive it there. Well, she had no problem "3 on the tree" but this 4 speed floor shift? Dad say, "let the kid tell ya when to clutch, he'll do the shift part". He even added a hinged sheet metal flap to hide the props so not get the "Hey, pull over, WTF is that!" Miss my mom and dad...
A similar pic water..

It was a blast when I was a kid! Kids piled in, hit the horn, splash it, and away we go! Across the lake was a horse farm and a sandy beach there was surrounded by trees, no way you would ever get a car down there. So I drove up, did "crop circles" (tire tracks all over), back in the water, hit the horn, turn signal on, and away we go at a whole (maybe) 7 mph!
Here as vid Dave the Wave, and if ya go in 4 minutes after the ride, the car explained. I wonder if my Dads is in his stash..!
