My pumps bad what's best way to replace pump

Remove VST tank top , then remove and replace pump , pretty straight forward .

Are you sure your circuits to start your pump in your ECU hasn’t failed ? I sometime have to use a relay on some that has failed , I use a relay attached to pump to get power to the pump and I use the keyed switch hot purple wire to excite the relay , when key is turned on relay closes then pump starts .. Just a thought !

Jay are there any other good options for an elec pump replacement part on the stock 2.5's (other than merc ) worth messing with?
Have seen some on e- bay and was dubious about quality.

Thanks for the reply pump has 12 volts I added 12volt battery power still nothing reversed leads to maybe spin backwards still nothing is there a part # for replacement internal vst pump.Thanks Jay

I have folks ace the VST and go with a 260 style pump and return system , cleans that side up but pricey , Dunno pump part number sorry , and dunno if there is a generic pump that’s a direct bolt on ???
