That boat has never been in the water or even rigged. That video was of his Pappa's Pilar boat.

Started out with Mad EFI offshore cans, then raced the Porta modded 2.5 cans with custom adapter plates, then back to the Mad EFI cans.

What was the reason for the back and forth? Still bugs to work out?

They started with them because Scott's stuff wasn't ready when the boat was rigged. They tested them on Scott's old race boat and did some refining to the exhaust before they went on Nick's boat. Over all they ran good. The only issue was that there aren't any long studs that go all the way through the plate into the can since nothing lines up from 3L to 2.5L which meant the motors had to be disassembled a few times during the season to change out broken studs. The final reason things where changed back is that the class voted to make stock class "as close to stock" as possible by having Nick run the same jackplate style as everyone else. While things where apart they put the other mids back on.
