    Lower unit length

Does a longer nose cone equate to more stability at high speed? I.E. the new 175hp V6 bullet is ~2" longer than my 150hp 4-stroke.

Longer nosecone allows any bubbles created at the leading edge more time to diffuse before reaching the prop...which leads to blowout...diffuser ring at trailing edge helps this too...if you ain't haulin ass it probably makes no difference...
In my opinion, long and narrow if the fastest and most stable...

I didn't think about the blowout factor, I was thinking about the fact it acts as a bigger rudder and would help with chine walk. Figure this lower unit is good to atleast 80mph given it's not much different than the Torque Master that's good to 85mph no?
