The 5 blade that JR got is a Drag 5 prop, same as Drag 4 but 5 blades, not to be confused with the Hill 5 blade cleaver. I have the Drag 5's for $975 to your door. Comes out of the hole much faster and much less slip at cruise speeds.

I've been selling lots of these. I sold a pair to a 28 Nordic with 400's. Fastest he saw with Mercury CNC's was 124. The Hill's saw 125

    Hi Randy,

If I am correct Hills will offer a 5 bl 26 pitch cleaver late spring. Is this correct?

If so, is it possible to choose between 15/20 degree too?

    Thanks !

    Hi !

    Thanks

Great Is it the same price as the 28 pitch. My boat is a V and runs 6,8 % slip with a Max5 25 on the rev limiter. The boat needs a little bowlift, so I presume the 20 degree will be ok. If buying a Merc CNC cleaver I was reccomended 18 degree.

Yes, they are all the same price. My 21 and 22's picked up 10 mph over the Max5.

That's 9$ slip. Higher slip is most likely due to the smaller diameter. I put the 34x15.25 on the RH motor to see the slip difference. At 108, the 32x15" was 6350 rpm and the 34x15.25 was at 5700. Don't know if it was lifting the back or not. Still had 25-30 lbs of pressure, but did seems a little squirley at top speed. We also ran it on a 21 Liberator with a 300xs. It ran 96 with a 5 blade 31" Drag 5 at 5700. The 32 5 blade hill ran 99 at 5600. Too much prop and ran 5% slip.
The main purpose of this prop test was to see if the 300xs had enough torque to turn the Bigger cleaver. No problem at all. It did give the 21 Liberator 3 more mph but we still need to test on more boats.
Did you ever do any more testing or boat more with the five blades on a 25 liberator with XS power? Curious if you think they are a good fit or if two stroke twins on a 25 should stay with 3 or 4 blade props. Thank You!
