Hallet f2 bottom, no it started out as a cyclone from ross then went to Hallet and I purchased the molds from hallet. I deleted lifting strakes and I deleted 18" of the ridding surface for a better big water ride with the cg more centered. The boat is better balanced for what I built it for big water. I hope the added weight higher and backwards of the new motor will still benefit from the Cg more centered. Time will tell with this new motor.

I wonder how many boats with high propshafts and 300hp would benefit?

So far with my LayeyCraft 2750 with twin 300xs:

    88.4 with 15" x 30" 4-blade Merc Lab cleavers very thin blades: 19% slip
    91.0 with 15" x 30" 4-balde Dewald "not thinned" Cleavers: 16% slip
Dewald is sending me a set of 15-1/2" x 30" 4-balde Cleavers to see if we can lower the slip numbers by 2-3%

I know there is still a few more mph left to go. My boat gets up to these speeds and just hits a brick wall. When it passes over 6,100 - 6,200 rpms, it just stops pulling.
Getting there is really quick and fun.

All of these props have been very easy to get on plane with, hard to imagine that the 5-blades would not work, but an expensive gamble if they don't.

I would really like to know if the 300xs will turn a set of 15" or 15-1/2" x 30" 5-blades!!! Not wanting to paying $4.5k to find out they will not turn them.
With the very low slip numbers that the 5-blades are running, a 29" would probably work, and be easier to get on plane with.

I normally run 30p 15” 5blade Dewald’s thru-hub. Not sure on the rake. I turn them anywhere from 6500rpm to 6800rpm depending on the load. Running around 6% slip. I have a set of 32’s also but boat was a bit sluggish for my liking. I am huge Dewald fan but if this things really work would buy a set for sure. I just raised the motors recently a bit more and have not run it out since. May be another hundred or two now. Would be good comparison for them on a large cat that is a 2 stroke and not a 400r. It could open them up a whole new market.

Randy, how do you think these would perform on a boat that needs some bow lift?

    Randy,
I would love to come and try some of your props on my Grandsport 300XS/SM 1.62 and buy what works best. I would be glad to pay you for your time and then purchase a prop from you.
I think all of us appreciate the time and money you spend to improve OUR boating.....
Just let me know if you can do it.
