Yes is does, bullets really benifit from a good foil with a big wheel.
Chris Bailey makes the best foil for a bullet, he doesn’t make them carbon fiber though.
The triad carbon fiber is a nice piece but I don’t like the shaping of that one on a bullet.
Look Up CB Marine Design, he makes a lot of stuff custom specific to Bullets and Strokers.
He will make one plain, or powdercoated any color to match your boat, will cut out lettering in the side wings with colored backing if you like. People but “bullet” or ‘Mercury” etc there a lot.
I have his foils on my Bullet and on my drag.

I doubt there’s more than a 1 lb difference. You can buy a carbon foil for looks but I wouldn’t for the weight savings. They typically aren’t all carbon, usually a glass core with carbon used on the outer two layers

I don’t know, he does make an aluminum version that is lighter than his stainless steal ones as well.
I have ave one of his aluminum ones on my drag and a “pretty” polished stainless on my bullet.
Ive ran them both on the drag and the bullet and see no difference in performance.

Also if you don’t have a bottom plate under the jackate that helps a TON as well, the small ones are ok, the bigger the better.
I ended up making a 3” wide one for my bullet when I was racing it.
I got beat on the big end here but you can see how hard my bullet comes out of the hole with a CB marine foil and a plate under the jack plate.
