Fastest optimax single not on a true tunnel?

So who has the fastest STV, Allison, Hydrostream, Mirage whatever with an Optimax, anything but a True tunnel?

I guess Wildman wins at 105 MPH

Never ran an Optimax before, had a 30" 250XS sitting around, so I bought a 15" mid from Todd D ( www.madefi.com ) wanted to put together a boat to go on these long fun runs we have in Florida, Having side saddle tanks built so gas will not be an issue, don't really know what to expect? I'm coming for you Wildman

Jared has a 15" XS on his STV and will run high teens or low 20s with the correct prop.

Andy Driver put a 200XS ROS on his Carbon STV for a while. I’m sure it went, or at least could’ve went 120+

Thanks for the info, any idea what props?

Have not heard from Andy in a while, what's he up to?

His old Buddy Stan just sent me an email, his yearly party in the woods.

Idk what wheel he ran, but i know he put an SST box on that ROS, so a big cleaver (34ish) would’ve got him well past 120. I talked to him a few months ago. He is pretty wrapped up with work nowadays - gotta make hay while the sun shines. He still has his boats and motors.....he’ll be back in the mix someday I’m sure.

Only run 2.5's, this is all new to me, mater, in fact, I have never tried to set any top speed in these boats, drag racing only.

Been to 115 GPS drag racing, with a 2.5 drag 1/4 mile, Mod Production set up, 24 Yamaha prop.

Back in 1985, I blew over doing a top speed run, don't think I would live thru another at my age.
