Bobs nose cone on omc 3cyl

Anybody ever put one on? Looks like a good amount of grinding. Guess I’ll find out tomorrow Click image for larger version.

Hello! Yes, for sure - this site is loaded with people that have installed it on a three-cylinder OMC and they are awesome. It might be a bit of work with filler and smoothing out, but the gains will be more than worth it. I'm sure others here will post their experiences, but there's no shortage of people experienced with it.

Here's a pic of Paul Passineau's setup. I am not positive, but this looks like a Bob's Machine nosecone. It's a V4, but still the same size.

Yes you can thats my v4 above. You can either grind away the cavitation plate so the cone fits on farther or top the top of the cone off and weld up the hole in the top a tap for fitting like on my v4.

Looks good. I’m going to trim it some and get it closer. Tack weld it and weld up the old intake holes.

I was think of drilling this exhaust like that. Not sure what it will sound like though. Guess I can always tap the holes and plug them.

It was on a 11.5ft hydrostream hustler. Ran 76mph. It helped with bubbles on the prop. And didnt make it overly loud like a snout.

At 76mph you don't need a cone. Might slow you down.
