The merc isnt that far out..I think brp went a little past the normal transition or evolution of styling... most people i talk to still say well ido-know and dont love it. I will say it again, do what works in other industries like auto mfg..they throw out design hints years before they actually make something to see what the market says. If everyone druels over it you see it in the showroom, everyone says naa and they run,you can still keep your new product a secret and test the market at the same time.. My take on the asthetics is it has to flow with the boat its going on, a transformer looking jetski, sidebyside or snowmobile is all one big machine with the same theme.. most boats have smooth flowing lines then throw a F-117 looking angled never seen befor something on the back and your gonna have mixed reviews..The g2s are great motors and brp is doing the right thing to get them back in the saddle.. Just humble opinions.. Dave

He is just learning to type 34 pitch . He does have the magic for those motors and it will do 110.

Around 7500 with 1.62 the props worked said 24 on it but ran 106 in short order. I’ve taken a bunch of fuel out of the map since then. It’s more fun with a 30 keeps the motor in it happy place longer. Doubt it makes muck power over 6500. It’d been 115 with a 30 cleaver motors up 1/2” since then and leaned on. I’m shooting for 120 with a 30 next pass it will get close to that goal. The 36 pulls good it went 116 in less than ideal conditions last week and was still ticking them off I don’t know if it got to 6k it was not nice enough out to check the tach.

Yeah, this is what the Merc guys are more concerned about... all you need to hear! I'll second the motion the cowl didn't trip my trigger, but I did like the vertical graphics on the BRP, so why ask me?
They're here to stay, boys, get used to it.A problem is only a problem when viewed as a problem...

the 7 lower is a dual pinion so that helps with the power. However like jperog said the 7s break a lot of losers. Colabella does their warranty repairs and he had many broken lowers in his shop. Just because 7 can keep their issues quiet doesn’t mean they don’t break. I’m assuming that you have never seen a 7 lower in person. It is as big or bigger than a bravo lower.

Two guys have 7s around town, also saw them at the Miami boat show, I Googled problems for 7 Marine can't find problems?
I swear I read that the GT lower unit was smaller, Semi-Surface bullet nose tapered skeg, one in this video...
