    Binnacle control with 2000 150hp optimax

    Just bought this optimax to replace tired black max 150. I have installed motor and attempted to use binnacle control for black max but when putting in gear, there is a long lag b4 rpms increase, then, it goes to 3000 or more. Can't like get 1200 rpm trolling speed. Do i need to go to a later control? Maybe cable cam is different for rate of advance.
