Welded a piece of angle in and drilled a dump hole behind it, plugged the dumps in the plate and drilled 1/8 drain holes in each pipe plug.

Lyn, did this work for you? It did not for me. Engine temp was okay at speed but at idle I saw the temp dropping real quick. I closed all the little dumps. So only one big dump in the new cavity you welded. But than I drilled a hole in the water jnlet part in the adapter. The stock 2p plates have thiS too. This realy did the trick! I have a video of my boat running with the 2 pc adapter and filming my gauges. I compared this with a video with the 1 piece and it's about the same. I do have the cle with the bravo water pump base. This has the small weep hole. This might affect it too. I had the most trouble to retain some heat when at idle. If i idle around both t stats open after a while now. Never did without drilling in the inlet.

Thanks! I always wear my skirt. It is a part of Merc masculinity!!!

Sounds like a plan to me. I have a 200 EFI and a real ProMax to play with too.

Works fine..took an hour or so to weld, fit and clean up the dump passage, going back to the race cooling is easy, just take the dump plugs out.
