    I don't run without the air box at the moment. Ill have to run it at idle without it on and see if its spitting fuel out the carb.

    It's just one opinion. Mine intermittently sneezes, but even when not sneezing it is pushing air and air/fuel back OUT the carb throat.

    So I think a damaged reed is allowing the air back out. The air and sneeze started at the same time and are on the same carb.

    But I'm no expert.

    Ill have to lo into it more, but it could be reeds. I believe there are aftermarket reeds in it.

    If you have a manual, do the link and sync procedure EXACTLY as the book says. My old 225 looper idled like that until I followed the instructions fully. It would then idle perfectly for quite a while after that.
