well, I have come up with:
late model 3 ram clamp with fat tiller
solid mounts
XR2 2-piece plate/tuner (2.4 200 style tuner)
97 175 EFI block w/ matching front (idle relief 2.5)
oil injection delete thingy
A set of unknown cc 2.5 heads
top guide rods and pistons (original to block)
260 small bearing crank and top bearing cap
260 exhaust plate
a set of coils and switch boxes
trigger
2.4 light flywheel and starter
2.4 200 intake and air box
sport jet 4 petal cages
2.0 150 rear cowl bracket "backbone"
some raggedy 84 200 clams
2.4 200 lower unit, no lwp
I'm pretty sure I have a pulse pump somewhere, not sure if I have a good 16 amp stator lying around. I might just pull a 9 amp off my old 1750.
Definately going to need a gasket set, fresh set of rings, center main bearings, maybe some metal cage rod bearings and fresh rod bolts.
Also have to get the clamshell brackets fabbed, the 260 exhaust divider will make that pretty simple it looks like.
The exhaust ports might get openedup to match the 2.0 plate but the 2.5 outlets are smaller so if I don't get around to it it won't really matter...
Should be a good runner, I may try to get some reeds from Chris tomorrow, don't know if they'll make it in time...Josh Peterson

Well I honed the block, cut .040" off the front and cut .040" off the heads. I'm sure I could have gone more but no time for mock ups and measurements on this one. Guessing I'll have 130-135psi cranking, we'll see!
I did a "stealth cut" on the heads, used a rotary broach instead of a mill...Josh Peterson

Sorry for the crappy pic, but I've almost got the clamshell brackets for the 2.5 worked out. It is not too bad with the 260 exhaust plate. It would be much more difficult with the fishin' mota divider!
You must use the lower rubber gasket from a clamshell motor if you use the 2.5 exhaust plate. I think the water fitting on the 2.5 plate will fit in the cowl, just have to work out the plumbing to the pee hole because the 2.5 fitting points the wrong way!

What's in those clamshells?
It's a 2.5...
I was afraid they wouldn't fit. Turns out the 2.5 is quite a bit longer than a 2.4! The exhaust divider is much thicker on the 2.5! I tried to weld the 2.4 backbone brackets to the 260 divider but couldn't get anything to stick to it! Ended up just using some aluminum angle to build brackets.
The long block is together.
175 efi block
.040 off the front
260 exhaust divider
stock pistons, top guide rods
metal cage rod bearings from pro
260 crank & small bearing top cap
bottom cap off an old 1750
2.4 200 intake with wallered out center holes
sport jet 4 petal cages with Carson reeds
some 2.5 heads that I cut .040 off of (maybe 130-135 psi, we'll see!)
Ended up with a 2.4 200 tuner on a 2.5 2-pc plate. Late style 3 ram mid. Random old bass leg from a 2.0 that I drilled like a promax. Liner in the bin. Some solid mounts I got from Bruster long ago.
Still have to put together the electrics and I guess I'll be running some WH-22's I have. Also have a light flywheel I may run.
I think I'll eventually swap the racks to opposed and run the "Allison" bit on the fat tiller. I may not have time for that now...
Feels like progress is slow but it's coming together!Josh Peterson
