I have them in stock and sell a few to the 225 PM guys yearly in a kit form with all longer SS bolts , gaskets and throttle extension and plate made out of 6061 Billet Aluminum...
Never Heard good , bad , nor indeferent reports ???? So dunno ..
The 260-280-Drag people love em I sell and modify lots of them a year ..

We've made and sold the intake spacers for several years, lots of them, ours are made from a composite and are much lighter than the aluminum versions...17 oz for the 7 petal, and 19 1/2 for the 4/5 petal version. This material is a great thermal insulator, not so important in a drag but nice on a lake motor.Folks are happy with them, especially on laser injected or carb motors, where they improve the intake tract path through the intake and reeds,Chris
Happy New Year!!!

I don’t see any disadvantage in runnin one, besides room in some instances(you won’t have on a PM). They improve midrange acceleration, especially on carb and laser injection as Chris stated. I’ve ran both composite and one of Jays billet ones. Don’t really notice much difference between the two. Theoretically the composite will dissipate heat better, but the billet looks cool. Here’s a pic on of one of Jays .

I did notice midrange in mine . Composite, it's worth investment either design , seems to add to a good idle, I'm actually runnin all 3 chris parts, reeds, stuffers, spacers, I will say this , there is a seat of the pants difference if u match all his parts up. Jay aluminum spacer is a real sweet look and produce the same gains, that's ur call what kind u want , definitely worth the purchase

Mine is a composite one. I’ve never ran it on the same same day/same prop with and without, so I can’t really say if it works or not. The theory is sound. So why not? The one thing I did notice is that the carbs seem to ice up faster with the spacer. That would lead me to believe the velocity of air through the carb has increased and the temps possibly have dropped

Just suppling both sides of a WH series carb. Is it necessary? I highly doubt it lol. I just enjoy trying different/cool looking stuff. In that pic it’s a Bosch efi pump’d and bypass regulated 10an line feeding a manifold with individual 4an lines. I also use a 12v fuel solenoid to supply pressurized fuel to each carb for enrichening on starts and hi rpm shutdowns.

Ya its different a d looks pretty cool , not necessary for both sides but cant hurt as long u runnin rite pressure. I'm just bout redo my system also

Velocity stacking pack in more air and fuel. It should improve top end; but to fast can blow fresh fuel/air out the exhaust port on a two stroke. That will show no gain or small loss.
Drags tune the ports to take advantage of it.
Horns in front also help velocity, or in the car world velocity stacks

The only one I’ve had to do some “engineering to” to make em fit are the 2000 year era fishin cowls with WMV carbs. The lower carb bowl hits the lower cowl pieces. A little cuttin ‘ill fix her right up though

I run Jay's on my 280 and like mentioned above it has a noticeable mid range response and looks great also.

I once bought one of those composite units. the black allen head bolts were lacking in quality. the heads stripped quickly like they were cheap chinese junk. I left them outside and it rained (murphys law) and they rusted. I also had fuel leaking out the very bottom gasket area which led me to believe mine wasn't sealing very well. I changed those allen head bolts out to actual bolts with washers and the leaking went away. For me, I'm just going to stick with Jays intakes.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.
