Randy, can the 22 have a flat floor, or is there not enough freeboard for that?
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

On my Liberators all the bulkheads and transoms are composite. Texas ones are still plywood. On my 25's I add alot of structure support and 4 knees instead of two if I add my custom rear. You could put 3 or 4 300's on the 25 transom. When I cap the front, I add alot more glass and strength. The standard layup has absolutley no issues as long as it's composite.

Not to knock the construction for the liberator, but it looks nothing like a cougar. Ours has aluminum knee braces bolted to solid wood stringer. Just saying

Maybe because the Cougar transoms are too weak to be non supported! I've never seen a stress crack anywhere near the transom area in a Liberator. If they are built strong enough, they won't need supports. I beat the crap out of my 21 with twin 280's for 12 years without any stress cracks or issues.

Randy, so glad to see another 22, just love them. Another silly question, what do you think of finishing the floors out and using Seadek on the flats in in place of carpet?

Do the tops of the tunnels have plywood? Is that wood grain I see?

Yes, the tops of the tunnels are Marine plywood added for rigidity and also for something to screw the seat to.
