BS!!! Although there are auto pilots certified down to 0/0 in other words full landing,They will not operate in that much crosswind.

Although I'm only a Sport pilot...I've had to crab in 30-35 mph crosswinds and it's definitely an eye opener. I've seen the videos of the Boeing 777 crosswind landings before...WOW!!!! I don't believe that they can use autopilot in those situations. The video of the supposed airliner doing a 360 at that very low altitude is not real for sure...prolly an RC of some sort.

I've landed in Tegucigalpa the capitol of Honduras. Basically the plane does a 360 down between the mountians then hills. I could see people inside the houses on the hills directly outside the window. After landing and braking the cabin erupts with the passengers clapping. Pilots have to be certified to land there.

I have an Avid Flyer M IV. A STOL aircraft with foldable wings and narrow gear so it will fit on a trailer. Being very short doesn't help things. I have a tundra gear that is wider so that is going to help. I also doubled the travel doing a mod using Ski Doo rear coil over springs. Different tail wheel combo that may help a bit. They offer a kit that lengthens the fuse/tail 16" if that tells you anything. That is the beauty of flying an Experimental!!! You can mod it!

65HP Rotax two stroke with a CF Warp Drive prop and will take off in 90' or a bit less with 14 gal of fuel (half tank).

I should have it going again this spring.

ID:	426769This is my little bird...I built it as an EAB (yes it's great that I can do all the work on it). It has a Rotax 503,Warp 3 blade but because it's pretty heavy I need 400 ft with me(#285) and 16 gals of fuel. I love the low and slow...cruises at 65mph/5600rpm. Because I lost the storage barn and runway (friend sold his farm) it's in pieces and in one of my storage buildings until I decide what to do.
