    Thumbs up Suwannee Icebreaker BBQ Party March 7 - 10 - 2019

Time to plan for this March when our Northen brothers and sisters are ready to thaw out here in FL . we will be having a BBQ Friday and Saturday nights and playing on the River of course . There are some local motels that are pretty reasonable and if you need to park something or bring a motorhome or camper we have some room for a few units .
Bring a covered dish if you want or just show up there will be food . Any questions on directions etc send me a PM or contact me at 727-457 - eight two five three .

Local hotels are as follows with the Days Inn in Chiefland with lots of boat parking and right next to BBQ Bills for breakfast . Best Western also in Chiefland just south of Holiday Inn . Then the Cadillac an old school mom and pop place with good parking just south of the bridge . Then the Park Inn right across from the Cadillac , another smaller mom and pop motel , then the Suwanee Gables just over the bridge across the river on the right on the water with a boat ramp .

Can anyone comment on the trailer parking at the Quality Inn? Been staying at the Days Inn previously and the 2 star hotel rating is generous.
In reference to the Hydrostream Power Tour:

Extremely generous !! That carpet will turn a fresh pair of white socks gray/black in a matter of minutes. I hope the parking at the quality inn is sufficient because we just booked 3 rooms there

We looked very hard at the VRBO and Airbnb offerings. We were looking for something on the river and the options were very limited. They were either on dirt roads or just way to far from town. It would have made going to toms fire quite a drive. There is one decent one we found that wasn’t too far out there but with the 200$ cleaning fee and all the taxes and fee’s it had us at like 750 for 2 nights.

There are some great places but you have to pull your boat down 15 miles of dirt. No thanks, I have seen others stuff afterwards.

Quality Inn is much better than the Days Inn which seems to always look like the Mexican Caravan is camping out there.
