Years back when I updated my XR4 with composite reeds I replaced all the bleed lines with just regular fuel hose from Napa. It actually appeared more durable than the original stuff. The only thing I noticed it that it wasn't exactly the right size, but slightly larger. So the ties that I secured it with were pretty necessary.

A lot of guys seem to like tygon, but I worry a lot about the effect of heat on that stuff and its durability.

I'll be doing another engine soon and am seriosuly thinking about going with OEM.

I'm pretty sure you can go to a hobby shop and get the stuff they use for fuel lines on boats and cars.

Tried the tygon for a while but it is just too loose fitting to suit me. Tie wraps will make it work but good old black tight fit has gotta be the way to go. Buy mine from Pro Marine.

Not sure if it makes a difference but I got mine was 3/32 I think. Actually for PwC oiling lines. They fit snug over bleed fitting but is a soft plastic

The heat tolerance listed for that is 223F, whereas the Tygon I see is listed at 165F. So that is a good thing.

Typically factory, plus can see the oil to check check valve operation.

Curious why yours are gummy? Some additive or butyl ether gas? How are the recirculating lines?
