Well I got little decent weather to give boat a gud run after installing all fishin stuff. I found a decent spot for jackplate and run her up to 72 like it was on rails , now I didnt have it wot ,cause I'm not completely sure shes broke in completely. There was no chine walk up to 72. Maybe it will when it touches 80 idk yet but it will run 80+ for sure. Had lots lots of rain lately and river is trashy so I dont wanna push my luck today , think I'll come back when it clears up sum and c if I cant get a pic of the GPS while runnin. All in all great boat so far

I'm having that same issue on my 190 champion with 8 inch manual plate..the higher I raise motor the stiffer the steering gets but the faster the boat runs also..I'm running a stock out of the box 25 tempest... curious of answers you get merc2.5..
Daddy taught me to never force anything but to just get a bigger hammer.

I have read other old post bout people swapping props and helps, guess it depends on hull, but I cant go buy 4 or 5 diff props to try, I've tried 2 28 choppers, one cut kinda like a e.t but they acted same or close

If you could get your hands on a 26 trophy or borrow. I think it would work really well with your set up. You can run them higher, they provide good all around lift, they can be improved for your setup by a good prop man. "Allison Cut" And if I remember right they don't wear your arms out as fast

Man that would b great but I would had never thought that a trophy would help with lwp and surfacing that much, I'm up to try it tho , the 28 I'm runnin now has added cup,and I can turn it to 7k or better, I'm thinkin ,havin trouble with tach and goin by hr/tach meter , still haven't maxed this motor out yet,
Not electrical need new tach

I was testing a 25p Trophy worked on by Tim at Performance Propeller. He put a Allison cut on it. I was going to run this on my Baker running a 2L and a CLE in the Parker Enduro a couple races ago. It worked really good at carry 40 gallons of fuel. Very stable and it help my boat handle the rough water conditions. I really needed a 24p. Steering torque was considerably less with this 4 blade.

Well guys. Figured I'd throw this out there but on previous post was havin steering torque bad, guess I just had jackplate way to hi , i started at bottom on jackplate (hyd) and came little at a time , got to point where had NO torque and ran up to 82 ,83 and back off. Tach was pegged at 6k long b4 I hit 80 ,little chine walk but.nothin to really talk bout , was easy to balance, damn if I dont think it hit 90 with current prop &set up , I did hit a damn stick bout 4 or 5ft long and 2 in round, river up little trashy but.not horrible, thought I was safe lol
Was runnin bout 70 and couldn't get round it , who yall think I should send it to?
