225 Mariner Super Mag - Super Clean

Mariner 225 Super Mag for sale without lower. Your choice of stock heads or 31cc heads. I bought a brand new Sportmaster so I'm not including in the sale unless you want it really bad and willing to pay. It has about 2-3 hours on it.

Motor runs great. No known issues. New reeds, spacer plate, voltage regulators. Also have reed stuffer plates (not installed) if you want them. Compression is 155 or so on all six with 31cc heads. I didn't intend to have heads that tight. Shop who cut them went too far. I only ran it about 4 times with the tight heads. 50/50 mix of premium and Sunoco 110. If I planned to keep running it, I'd go back to the stock heads. I ran across a deal on a 300 Promax is the only reason I'm selling. Probably regret letting it go, but it's taking up space and I've got kids in college...

I'll have to check on the year, but think it's a 96. I'm in Clayton NC. I have a buyer who says he's sending a deposit today so he's first in line at this point. I will update either way.

The heads in the pics are the 31cc heads. I plan to give a buyer choice of heads then sell the other set separately. Seebold on the Suwannee in March. That was when I had a 200XS on it. Went to the Mariner after that, now have a 300 Promax. Only got to run the 300 twice now but I like the midrange grunt of the larger displacement motor. Drinks gas though.
