I don't really mind the itching except for in my eyes...

I guess I need some goggles for grinding days!

Been doing tons of grinding and shaping metal this past month. I have a respirator and whatnot but with the face shield, ear muffs, respirator its a lot of weight and a pita to put on and take off. Been thinking about splurging for a 3M Versaflow powered air filtration helmet with hood and ear protection all built in. It would be ideal for glass work too. They have two different filters one for particulate and one for vapor. They also have a speed glass welding shield version but the cost is pretty high. Hmmm

    You fellas crack me up
Get a good quality disposable suit. Don't waste you money on the cheap ones unless you want to wear two suits one over the other.
Now I am not recommending this next one, but I do it If I am working in intolerable heat I have an airline fed into my suit with a tap to adjust airflow. Think "Michelin Man". Surprising how much cooler it is.
Can't beat an air fed hood for respiratory and eye protection. I haven't seen a decent respirator / dustmask / safety glasses / goggles / spectacles combination that works without leaks, fogging or eye contamination. If you have clean air flowing over your head it seems to make your whole body feel cooler. I use both a battery powered hood and a compressor fed hood with coalescing filters. Do not breathe compressor air without the correct filters. A big pedestal fan placed at the right angle can work wonders too.
