Not a Playboy - very different hull. Can't recall the proper term for this hull design, but the Shooting Stars had a concave or semi-tunnel hull up front that flattened toward the rear. I had a white with blue trim one of these from '74 till 79, 1st with a 1100 SS and then a 1500 XS. Tons of fun until you hit a rogue wave over 80. I almost blew mine over twice. Thanks to fast reflexes, it was just scarry enough to smarten me up a bit.

Called the POCKET BOTTOM ends up flat across the back I do have some pics of a shooting star on a post about racing v-6 chisler. The PLAYMATE and the SHOOTING STAR shared the same deck. The PLAYMATE was a V bottom hull and the SHOOTING STAR was a pocket bottom hull, very much like the CARLSON CONTENDER.

My Contender was flat in the back, not a full tunnel. My CT15 was a full tunnel.
