    First time-Brucato acu

Going to lake test my boat this weekend after installing a acu removing oil injection and new boyeson reeds. Anything I need to look out for the first time I run it? Suppose to be turn key from Brucato correct? Ran it on the hose and the idle seemed a bit high like 1200. But it’s also not in a lake withbackpressure ect. It’s always idled kinda high though. Seemed to be real smoky on the hose. Mixed at 40:1. Maybe getting too much fuel at idle? Just don’t want to hurt this thing first time out.

They come pretty close if you are going to make changes get a note book to record where you started and what changes you have made. you need to be able to read plugs and piston wash if you are going to make changes in the upper rpm safely. Take your time and don't make more than one change at a time then drive it a bit.

It's gonna smoke idling at 40:1 oil ratio (versus 100:1 with the oil injection); you're just going to have to live with that if you don't want oil injection.

Brucato boxes come on the rich side, they leave it up to the owner to ruin everything.

Haha 10-4. So run it as is and don’t touch it? Lol am I safe to lower the idle a bit? Just using the timing arm screw correct? Probably don’t want to adjust it on the trailer tho right?

Better of on the trailer than the hose, and yes on adjusting pick up timing.

ALso 40:1 or 50:1? Stock promax usually run av gas cause it’s the only way I can get ethanol free in commiefornia. Merc premium plus oil. Usually cruisin with a couple wide open passes.

Av gas with stock heads will lower performance, might want to cut your heads some.

Motor was designed for pump gas, running way more octane than it needs is just putting out the fire. The more the octane the less flammable the fuel.

Stock heads are fine...your not racing but the idle quality will suffer a bit with av gas
